BRENTON MCKENNA
Brenton McKenna is locally known as ESZRA.
Shy | confident | quiet | loud | meek | bold | slow | fast | day | night | funny | serious.
ESZRA becomes what the pages and his characters allow him to become as one of the worlds leading and most coveted First Nation's Graphic Novelists and Creative Educators.
Based out of Broome, WA, Eszra's stories are a deep combination of his own childhood experiences, his grandmother's stories about his home town and the monsters and heroes that exist in his head.
His historical publishing deal with Magabala Books affirmed his place as Australia's first-ever published Indigenous Graphic Novel Author.
ESZRA also dedicates his time to creative education with youth, using his imaginative and visual storytelling methods to connect with kids and young adults on a deeper level.
